52 Weeks of Coffee, Stories, and Showing Up
26,000+ emails sent. A year of deep dives, hot takes and wild coffee stories. These were your favorites.

52 Weeks. 1,000 Readers. One Mission.
One year ago we sent out the very first issue of Buy The Drip.
No list. No expectations. Just an idea…
Let’s give coffee lovers and professionals a place to learn, get inspired, and hear stories that aren’t being told anywhere else.
Not just the polished brand features or tech launches but real stories.
Business insights. Industry breakdowns. Wild innovations. Human moments.
It was also a personal challenge….to show up every week and become better writers, better storytellers, and better at consistently delivering value.
Today, our list is still small (just over 1,000 subscribers), but mighty. We’ve sent out over 26,000 emails this year and we are seeing open rates most newsletters would kill for because the people reading this actually care.
Let’s look back at the most read …most shared… and most talked about issues from our first year.
1. The Cutting Edge of Coffee — World Brewers Cup
This one went wide. We highlighted all 9 Brewers Cup finalists. Coffee origins/ brewers/equipment, and full recipes.
It’s still our most-read issue and for good reason it’s rare to get that much competition insight in one place.
A favorite for baristas, competitors, and gear nerds alike.

2. I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead
Huberman vs Hoffmann. Two heavyweights with very different takes on caffeine and sleep.
This post got shared, debated, and had people rethinking their morning rituals.
Coffee isn’t just flavor….it’s biology, performance, and timing. This post hit a nerve and kicked off tons of behind-the-scenes DMs and shares.

3. Luckin Coffee — A Deep Dive
From accounting scandal to full-blown comeback. Luckin is now one of the biggest coffee brands in the world and still flying under the radar in many conversations. Luckin now commands over 24,000 locations worldwide including 30% market share in China.
This post got tons of web traffic, and for good reason. The story’s not over. You’ll be seeing Luckin everywhere soon. Love it or hate it. Learn about it here

What We’ve Learned
Consistency is king. The best content isn’t created once it’s created weekly with intention.
Coffee has more stories than anyone’s telling. From farms to financials, from rituals to roasting this industry is full of gold.
People care. They might not always comment or hit reply, but the opens, shares, and support behind the scenes are real and we see you!
A Quick Thank You
If you’ve been with us from the start or just joined last week…..thank you!
This newsletter isn’t just a broadcast. It’s a conversation.
And your time, trust, and curiosity means everything to us.
If we could ask one small favor: forward this to one person who loves coffee.
Just one.
The more this community grows, the more time and resources we can pour into it.
More stories, more insights, more depth.

Thank You!
